Speed Ferry to Mykonos

So it was time to pack up for our next destination...we took a "speed ferry" from Athens to Mykonos island.  Here are some photos along the way...

The "end of the line" port station on the metro, a neat older outdoor station.

A "speed ferry," larger than expected!  Many of these traveled throughout the islands each day.

Seating is much like on an airplane, only roomier.  They also had several snack bars, including fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies for some ridiculous amount of money.  Guess what we ate for lunch?

This is what happens when you go on vacation for three weeks.  You lose your ever-lovin' mind and buy chocolate chip cookies for $3 apiece.  And not only a few of them, but about $50 worth.
(Note to our readership: because of the logistics of adding photos and commenting on them and keeping them in order and general behind the scenes blog stuff, Your Correspondent (meaning moi, myself, at your service, JSS) will be adding what little I can contribute in blue - because not differentiating could lead to spousal abuse.  That is, Nancy will beat me.)

The water of the Aegean was the most incredible color blue I've ever seen.  It was strangely similar to the horrible fake blue water at amusement parks.  BUT IT DOESN'T SMELL LIKE PEE OR MR. CLEAN. This photo sort of captures how the tealish blue churned into white.
And how when it got deep it went into a gorgeous sapphire blue.

View from the top of the boat.

Cheers to the next adventure...
