School Uniforms!

As promised, here are finally photos of school uniforms.  The school is "Compass International School," and it is based out of Great Britain.  It follows the International Primary Curriculum, which emphasizes creative thinking, problem solving, and inquiry-based learning.  A very different system compared to our Texas TAKS-driven system.  More on this later.  But now: los fotos!

Rules: we are learning what we must follow and what we might break.  For example, untucked shirts are fine.  Jack and Hannah can wear black "trainers" (tennis shoes) but Hank must stick to the official dress shoe policy.  Hank also has long pants, but they're getting hemmed--I'll post them tomorrow.  Jack also has shorts--they just didn't get photographed.  No, you are not imaging things: younger kids wear yellow knit shirts, but older kids wear pressed white shirts.

  1. Hank looks 15 years old. LOVE the haircut.
What is with the WHITE socks. I thought the dreaded black socks were the worst enemy.
Can't wait to talk foreign tongues to Hank. Can you send me something written in your new language. Maybe you can teach me???

  2. Hey Jackie, middle child. Are you ONLY middle child in the room? Maybe you can take a survey and you middle children can form a private club.
I like your uniform, not bad at all. What is the thing on your shirt by your heart? What does it say? in what language? Are you really taking Arabic? If so, you will the the #1 child to go grocery shopping with your mother!
    Write back to me......................!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Hannah Grace, you are a wonderful model in your lovely new uniform. I hope you don't get tired of wearing the same thing every day! Do you quickly change clothes when you get home? Have you shown and told your new friends that you are a GREAT dancer? Maybe you can sing for them too. I want to know about your teacher, she is pretty. Send me a letter! Mimi

  5. I would like to say that I didn't teach her the modeling skills. All she would learn from me is "how to sleep and wear the same clothes and then go to the grocery in them without caring," which is pretty much the opposite end of the spectrum from where Little Miss Project Runway is headed. :P

PS to Katy: The delay in Project Ranch is excused due to your sharing of the Mexican Potato recipe. Holy cow that looks good.
