Bring the Boy Back Home!

This one will be home from his Vietnam school trip in less than 24 hours.  We are chomping at the bit to get him back and can't wait to hear the details...Nine days is a long time to have him gone.  Not sure how this is going to work out when he wants to do something like...say...go to college.

  1. how. cool. i love that i'm getting to watch your kids live in another country- there is SO much to learn from getting out of our little American bubble. although i know the grandparents will hate us, i want so badly to raise my kids overseas, at least for a little while.

glad there are other crazy people out there like me... :)

  2. It's actually a lot of the same--the daily routine and the hurdles--and there is the big difficulty of not being closer to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins...but yes, every once in a while there is a really nice bonus to having them in a place where there is difference. Mostly, I think it pushes them out of their comfort zones and makes "difference" not so intimidating. I fully believe that more international adventures are in your future! For now, your work at camp sounds pretty awesome. :)
