A Baker's Dozen of ZZzzzzz

Hannah near the end of a 13-hour sleep.  She went to bed at 9 PM and didn't wake up until 10 AM.

Ten days into our adventure, we're just about over the jet lag.  I don't think Hank (12 y.o.) even experienced much jet lag.  He slept a full night the first night we were here, but he also had days that he was very tired despite full nights of sleep.

Both the blessing and the issue then becomes the sun rising here at 4:30 AM.  As I write this at 5:45 AM, it looks like it's about 10 AM Texas time outside.  Qatar doesn't practice daylight savings time, but that also means that the sun is setting by 6:30.  The sunset brings a noticeable cool-down, especially when the humidity is low, so I'll take it the way it is...but seriously...4:30 AM?  For a night owl, that is down right obscene.
