H.G.S. is 6 y.o.

After harassing us on a daily basis ever since December 26, 2011 (how many days til mah birfday? when are you buying all mah prezenz? have you made mah cakes yet? how many more days?), our little Gracie Lou has finally reached her birthday.  Up until last night, she was informing me that she would be getting a bicycle: pink with streamers and a basket.  Then at 8 PM, she decided it would be a hot pink Nintendo DSi instead.    Nothing like a woman who knows what she wants.

In between the bouts of serious attitude, she's a sweet, loving, very energetic girl who is a damn good swimmer and a pretty good little tennis player.  Coming to the end of "Year 1" (kindergarden) and reading, too.  It's awesome to have the girlpower in the house, especially now that she is sleeping all night in her own bed.  If only she would stop screaming at her brothers...

Yes, this is cake #1: the one Mom made.  
Her gift (hmmmm...I wonder what it will be?) will arrive with Dad in a week.
Cake #2 will be served at the party in a couple of weeks.
One birthday...over two weeks of partying.
*That's* called "drawing it out."
